Day 163.  Today I broke my own rule of giving out a card to a different person every day. Barbie gets 2.  Cos she’s that special.  I drove out to GVSU for the premier of That Takes Ovaries!: Bold Women, Brazen Acts.  This play was a magnificent collection of stories told and re-told by courageous women.  Some were light, some were heavy, and some were funny. The best part about it was the fearless performers, which, in my eyes, took a shit ton of ovaries to get up on stage and speak long and powerful memorized monologues.  This is where Barb comes in.  Not only did she give a spectacular vibrant vocal performance (including a killer Joan Rivers impersonation!), she even got up on a table and spread her legs.  No joke.  If you’re in the Grand Rapids area, you’ve got to see this tomorrow night at the Wealthy Theatre. Girl Power.
