Day 132. Perfect quote for a hectic Monday in the ER. I read it over and over to keep my mood up. Even took a few quiet minutes to meditate during my lunch break. I gave this card to Alyssa, my noon to midnight nurse buddy who is super smart, super fast, super efficient, and always jokes that she “can’t slow down enough to read this card.” She actually handed it back to me. “No, you keep it and read it when you can.” This of course forced her to stop and breathe. “Thank you, Lindsay.”, she said. Being calm when it’s calm is easy. Keeping your calm in the midst of chaos is what I strive for. And that is exactly how to be a stellar ER nurse. :)
