Day 127. What’s important: calling Grandma on her birthday. What’s not, that you’re calling her today and her birthday was actually yesterday. Today, I got the privilege of listening as my husband called his grandma all the way in Buffalo to tell her “happy birthday” and update her on “what’s new” and “sorry that I am calling you today and not yesterday.” Grandma didn’t mind. She said it was the intention that counts (such a grandma thing to say…) This got me thinking about how I’ve been slacking on my quote card giving magic moments lately. Eating out two days in a row and lazily leaving the quote with the tip, avoiding confrontation. But I guess it’s not always in the delivery. I’m still passing in on and paying it forward and spreading the love. Maybe the small voice in my head I should be listening to is me being a little easier on me.
